It is a real mushroom.

Lion’s Mane is a white, shaggy mushroom that grows on hardwood. Its Latin name is Hericium erinaceus, and it has been cooked and eaten in East Asia for centuries.

A supplement is that mushroom, dried and concentrated into a capsule.

You take it for focus.

Lion’s Mane is the mushroom people take for focus. It has no caffeine, so it goes beside your morning coffee.

Look for an extract, and its ratio.

Dried mushroom ground into a capsule and mushroom extract are two different things. An extract is made by cooking the mushroom in hot water, then in alcohol, and drying what comes out.

Ours is 10:1. Ten kilos of mushroom become one kilo of extract, and two capsules give you 1,000 mg of it.

A good jar shows its lab reports.

In August 2026 we read 273 Lion’s Mane labels from 178 brands. 73% listed something that is not mushroom (194 of 264 readable labels). 8 of the 178 brands showed a lab report.

Our Lion’s Mane has three you can open: beta-glucans 31.8%, a 99.2% DNA match to the species, and a heavy-metals and microbiology panel.
